The Vision Divers Boat licence course is a nationally recognised Licence Course. At its completion, participants receive a certificate which they can present to Vic Roads, whereupon a licence will be issued. No further testing is required.

The national training package competency units you will attain are activity specialisations within the Outdoor Recreation Industry Certificate II in Outdoor Recreation. The competency units are:

• MEM50008B Carry out trip preparation and planning
• MEM50009B Safely operate a small mechanically powered vessel (for students
  completing the practical session)
• MEM50010B Respond to boating emergencies and incidents

For anyone considering a job or a career in outdoor recreation, these units can be used towards obtaining a qualification.

Personal Watercraft Operators can also sit the course to obtain not only their General Boat Licence, but also their PWC endorsement to operate Personal Water Craft.
